Arizona’s sunny, and warm weather make it a favorite vacation destination for people from all parts of the country. It is known to be the sunniest state in all of the US, with Yuma, AZ getting a 90% chance of sun, all of the time. All that great weather makes for exciting excursions and spectacular sight-seeing activities, especially since it allows tourists to see America’s greatest natural wonder, the Grand Canyon, in all its beautiful glory.
Worst:
With all that sun, you can expect Arizona to get very hot, especially in the summer months. Cities like Phoenix and Tucson, experience temperatures as high as 100° F, something that isn’t only uncomfortable, but dangerous too.
The Grand Canyon State isn’t all that grand too, especially if you’re a teacher. Wallethub ranks Arizona as the worst state for teachers because of it high teacher turn-over rates, low public school spending for each student, and high student-to-teacher ratio.
