Best:
Statistically, the state of Connecticut has the highest average per capita income in the US at $50,392. Not only that, The Constitution State also has a low crime rate which makes it one of the top 10 safest cities to live in, that’s according to Bankrate’s 2019 ranking of best places to retire in.
Oh, and if you’re a big fan of college basketball, you’d already know that the state university’s women’s and men’s teams belong among America’s best, with both UConn teams winning a combined total of 15 national championships. Go Huskies!
Worst:
While it’s true that Connecticut has the highest average per capita income of all the 50 states, it also has the 2nd worst income disparity in the country. This means that most of the wealth generated in the state only go to the rich, with most residents still struggling to make ends meet. To make things worse, the state also has the most expensive electricity, making it the only mainland US state to pay an average of 20 cents for every kilowatt hour of electricity used.
Oh, and the roads are really bad there too.
