Best:
Fried Chicken, need we say more? And we all have to thank Col. Sanders for introducing the world to his juicy, finger-lickin-good recipe which he rolled-out from a tiny roadside restaurant more than 75 years ago. It’s no fluke that you start craving for deep-fried chicken whenever you hear “Kentucky” mentioned in a conversation.
The Bluegrass state is also home to one of horse racing’s much-awaited and well-attended events: The Kentucky Derby. It is said that the state’s famous bluegrass makes it the perfect place to raise and breed horses, which practically is the reason why some of the best thoroughbreds in the world come from there.
Worst:
Of all the states in the US, Kentucky has the worst cancer incidence and survival rates, with over 512 for every 100,000 residents being diagnosed with the affliction and 196 for every 10,000 residents succumbing to it in 2015. Of all the types, lung cancer has been the most diagnosed in the state, with fewer than half of those found to have it able to survive longer than 5 years.
Also, adults living in Kentucky have been found by the Center for Disease Control to be the most likely to report being stressed out.
