If you haven’t tried West Virginia’s pizza, then you’re missing-out. The Mountain State’s version of the cheesy baked delicacy will definitely give New York and Chicago a run for their money, especially since the state has the most number of pizzerias per person than any other place in the US.
West Virginia also has the fewest binge drinkers in the US, a fact that is hard to believe especially since pizza goes well with beer.
Worst:
West Virginia’s beautiful outdoors, refreshing springs and rejuvenating spas are not enough to improve its citizens’ poor health, as well as its terrible patient survival rates. It is ranked as having the most number of smoking adults in the country, with almost 25% of West Virginians lighting up regularly.
The Mountain State’s economy is also quite in shambles, thanks to the lack of business opportunities brought about by its declining coal industry. If that’s not enough to turn you off, then maybe West Virginia’s taxation of Social Security benefits will.
