Best:
Originally founded in 1732 by British Member of Parliament, James Oglethorpe as a felon colony, the state of Georgia has, since then, made a name for itself, particularly in the pages of history. Georgia is known for being the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr., the Civil Rights Movement’s most influential leader, who was born in the city of Atlanta. The state is also home to the Southern Christian Leadership conference which sent out passionate leaders to further the movement’s cause all over the American South.
Agriculturally, although it is known as The Peach State, Georgia takes pride in its produce, particularly in a variety of onions known as Vidalia onions, that are grown there. The onions, which are only grown in 20 counties in the state, are known to be some of the world’s sweetest.
Worst:
If you own a car, you’d probably hate living in the state of GA, which is infamous for its horrendous traffic conditions. The Tom Moreland Interchange, in particular, is known for having the country’s worst traffic jams, earning it the nickname: Spaghetti Junction.
Also, Georgia has the worst influenza prevention measures, suffering a rise in flu cases during the winter of 2018, one of the most severe in recent history.
