Best:
If you want to get a feel of who’s going to win the next Presidential elections, ask the people of Ohio who they’re voting for. The state has, for the past 123 years (save for 1944 and 1960), voted for the winning candidate, making it sort of a “magic 8-ball” for election results.
Interestingly, The Buckeye State also has the lowest projections for Alzheimer’s increase, which is expected to rise by only 13.5% in the next 6 years, the least of any state.
Lastly, residents of the state get to enjoy their money more, thanks to Ohio’s low cost of living.
Worst:
Although the cost of living in the state of Ohio is low, getting a job can be quite difficult. The city of Cleveland, for example, ranked as the worst city for getting employed.
Ohio also has the worst cases of allergies and asthma in the country, this according to a Natural Resources Defense Council study in 2015. The report is echoed by the Asthma and Allergy foundation of America, mentioning that four out of the top 5 cities on their list were located in The Buckeye State. This isn’t surprising since the state also has the highest average concentration of fine particulates in the air.
