Tennessee has always been known for its music, thanks to its vibrant entertainment scene, particularly that of Nashville, which is also known as Music City. The King even called The Volunteer State home, the city of Memphis to be exact, which also has an extensive community of artists in the music scene.

Worst:

Having fast internet connections can be bad, especially if you have kids who are constantly glued to their tablets or laptops, playing online games or watching YouTube videos all day. Children nowadays lead sedentary lifestyles, and Tennesseean kids are no exception. Childhood obesity in the state is quite high, with 38% of its kids either overweight or obese.

Aside from its health woes, Tennessee also has a terrible crime problem, particularly violent crime. The state has one of the highest crime numbers in the country, with Memphis’ violent crime rates leading all other major cities nationwide.
