Best:
If Maine is the best US state to raise dogs, then Montana is the best state in the nation to raise cats!
Feline fans should know, that kitties in The Treasure State get to live long, happy lives, exceeding the national average by an amazing 2 years! Cats in Montana average 14 years before clocking-out, a statistic that trumps all other states in the nation.
Also, among adults (human this time), Montana has one the highest high school attainment rates in the US, probably because cats don’t eat homework like dogs do.
Worst:
We presume that the reason for high school students doing so well in Montana, is the fact that they use their books more than they use the internet. This is because Montana has the worst internet access of all the 50 states, despite it being the first state to enact its own legislation on net neutrality.
Another thing that Montana is worst at is road safety. Statistics show that the state has 22.6 road deaths for every 100,000 of its residents. This could be because the state has a seatbelt usage percentage that falls below the national average of 87%. It was found that only 74% of drivers plying Montana’s dangerous, and often remote country roads wear their seatbelts.
