Best:
New Hampshire graduates have reason to celebrate, and that’s the state’s very low unemployment rate. This means that there are enough jobs in the state for those who need to make a living, with only 2.7% of people residing in the state remaining idle. Since many of The Granite State’s residents have jobs, it also follows that only 7.7% of its population remain poor, way below the US poverty rate of 13.4%.
Another thing that New Hampshire has the best of is senior citizen health with 83.2% of adults over the age of 65 reported to be in excellent health.
Worst:
It’s a good thing that New Hampshire is able to provide jobs for its newly-grads, with college tuition fees in the state being the highest in the nation. Students in the state struggle with the highest amount of debt after finishing college, this according to US News’ rankings of best states for higher education.
Other things the state is worst at? High property taxes and poor seatbelt use.
